Shop Policies + Shipping

Last updated: November 17, 2023 to update shipping timelines and insurance claim procedures now that COVID restrictions at post offices and UPS are long in the rear view mirror.

 

All Items are Handmade + One of a Kind

All ceramics made by ThreeFeet Mudworks are hand made and will have minor variations in size, color, and shape from piece to piece, no two will ever be the same.

All pieces are listed by width, in inches, for exact dimensions please see the details in the product listing. Sizes are approximate and generally accurate within .25” (.5cm).

Processing Times

My shop sells in batched drops, typically monthly. Each item is carefully packed by hand using recycled or recyclable packing materials. After a drop, please allow 3-5 days for me to pack and ship all orders.

Estimated Shipping Times

United States: 5-7 business days

International: Due to the variability in customs requirements, I’m unable to provide a fair estimate for international orders. All orders will be processed in the timeline above, shipping duration will be determined by the courier and customs. In general international shipping appears to take around 2 weeks.

I'll do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose.

Flat Rate Shipping

My Flat Rate shipping prices are available to US customers only and are priced by order (not by shipment). 

If possible, and if I notice that a customer has placed multiple orders, I will do my best to combine them into a single box.

Shipping ceramics is quite a precarious endeavor and I’ve invested in high quality recyclable packing materials and techniques to all but eliminate broken pieces (and hearts).

Flat Rate charges are non-refundable.

Customs and Import Taxes

Some countries have tariffs or custom fees for ceramics. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.

Returns + Exchanges

I don't accept returns or exchanges but please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

Cancellations are not guaranteed. If you accidentally purchase a piece during the rush of a sale please reach out immediately.

Broken Pieces + Insurance

Ceramics are fragile. Every piece is hand packed with extreme care and plenty of padding to ensure they can stand up to all but the most extreme mishandling during shipping. I cannot provide refunds for broken pieces.

All shipments are tracked and insured; should a piece arrive broken, I will assist you in filing a claim but you must follow some important steps or your claim may not be accepted.

Tips for a smooth claims process:

  1. Document: In the event that you receive a package with a broken piece, begin by thoroughly documenting the box condition and contents. If there are obvious signs of external damage, ensure to get a very clear picture. More is better than less.

  2. Do NOT DISCARD: Save ALL packaging and broken pieces. Seriously, this is important. The shipper will often require you to bring these to your nearest UPS or shipping office for inspection and confirmation. If you discard the packaging material or the piece no claim can be made and I am unable to assist you.

  3. Contact Me: Alert me to your issue and I will help initiate the claim. I will likely need the documentation and any details of the condition.

  4. Claim Filed: Claims can take several weeks to be processed. If all steps were followed properly and a claim is accepted by the insurer, I will refund you. If for some reason the claim is not accepted but all the above steps were followed, I’ll work with you on another solution.
